In Brief - No More Supremes
Following the creation of the new Supreme Court on 1 October 2009, solicitors are no longer ‘Solicitors of the Supreme Court’ but are now ‘Solicitors of the Senior Courts of England and Wales’. The former Supreme Court of England and Wales was made up of the Crown Court, the High Court and the Court of Appeal. Now that the Supreme Court has replaced the House of Lords as the ultimate court of appeal, the names of the other courts have been revised.
